Of course, this might change once every plugin is 64-bit from the get go. Mac VST 64-bit is the very last format that plugin developers get around to releasing (if ever). But because Steinberg wanted to control VST, the company is now sort of screwed on the Mac platform. If Steinberg had only made VST an Open Source platform we wouldn't be in this boat. If I was Apple, I wouldn't want to let some small company (Steinberg) dictate audio standards. Well, you can't really fault a company for wanting to control its own destiny. ![]()
